Literature Text

You worship the figments
You hide in your mind
Living in long darkness
Until you are blind

You know you are trapped
A mere copy in time
And your searching for a plan
To help escape your crime

You want to escape
You want to be free
You want to walk back
And glance once more at me

But now I am nothing
And no longer bear a heart
I feel naught but clouded memories
Look elsewear for your start

I see you fall to your knees
I watch you remember
Of a time many years ago
In the middle of december

You layed upon a hill top
Your body weighed with snow
And through your desperate sobs
Wishing away all you know

Then appeared a helping hand
That pulled you to your feet
And a kind voice that followed
That echoed through the street

She was not of great beauty
Her face showing lines of wear
But with the only eyes sharp enough
To notice you were there

But you pulled away suspiciously
Asking the question why
She said she was far off
When she heard a distant cry

She said she was sent here
On a great quest of love
A last plead of caring
From the mighty one above

She held out her hand
A smile on her lips
"Let me guide you," she begged
As you eyed her dirty fingertips

And you think back now
Yes, now you understand
You could have been a hero
If only you'd taken my hand

I'd come to make a difference
I'd come to make things right
But now you must always suffer
As I haunt you through the night
This took me about two minutes to write but I spent about an hour just reading it over and over again. I know there's something drastically wrong in there but I just can't figure out what it is...... :D

its awesome! but i think the 4th verse is a little awkward and that is kinda a key point of the poem, that 'you' are gone, talk more about 'you' and y u haunt him
its really is amazing tho!
